Banned Books Week

Banned Books Week is sponsored by the
American Library Association, the American Booksellers Association, and a
variety of other groups, Banned Books Week (Sept. 23–Sept. 30, 2006) celebrates
the first amendment right to free speech, which includes the right to read and
write books that are considered unorthodox or controversial. A banned book is
one that has actually been removed from a library or school system, a
"challenged" book is the attempt to ban such material

Middle School Book Fair
The Book Fair will be held
the week of
Monday October 1st- Friday
October 5th.
There will be a huge
selection of books to choose from.
Students will be coming to
the library
Monday – Wednesday during
their Language Arts Literacy
class in order to preview
the books.

The Book Fair ends Friday
October 5th, so don’t forget to bring your book wish list... and
your money.
