LENDING PROCEDURES

Promoting the circulation of books, magazines and other informational sources is of primary importance to the staff of the Media Center. However, in an effort to insure that all members of the Middle School community have equal access to the resources of the Media Center the following procedures must be respected:

· Books may be borrowed for two weeks.

· Magazines may be borrowed for one week.

· All materials must be checked out at the circulation desk.

· Materials may be renewed, so long as a reserve has not been made on them.

· Students must return materials on, or before, their due date.

· Books may be returned in the Media Center during library hours.

· A late charge will be imposed for all overdue books.

· Students having overdue materials will not be permitted to borrow new materials.

· A detention may be issued for materials more than two weeks overdue.

· A replacement cost is imposed for lost books
