PHILOSOPHY

The members of the Science Department believe that our primary goal is to provide the best possible general education in science for all students. We also have the responsibility to challenge the potential scientists in our classes and provide them with a comprehensive background that will be needed when pursuing professional careers. To help achieve these goals, the Science Curricula are designed to present a variety of courses that will recognize and allow for student difference in ability, interest, and purpose. The courses are planned to present both fundamental information and new developments in theoretical and applied science.

REQUIREMENTS

Law requires all New Jersey school students to complete three years of Science, one of those years being Biology. Our District specifies that Earth Science and one of the physical science courses are taken during the remaining two required years.
